Cake Batter
2 cups All Purpose Flour with
1 teaspoon Baking Powder or
2 cups Self Raising Flour
1/ cup Milk
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Butter (room temperature)
2 Eggs
1/3 cup Sugar
2 Gala Apples
1 cup crushed Walnuts
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
2 tablespoons Butter
1 teaspoon Cinnamon Powder

    - Preheat oven to 350F or 180C
 - Peel & slice the apples
 - Melt the 2 tablespoons butter in a frypan
 - Add the brown sugar & stir
 - Add the sliced apples
 - Add the cinnamon
 - Mix all together & set aside to cool
 - Add the sugar & butter to a mixer & cream together 
 - Add the eggs one at a time
 - Add the vegetable oil
 - Add the baking powder to the flour and add some flour to the mixture
 - Add some of the milk
 - Add the rest of the flour & milk and mix together 
 - Spray some non stick spray in a round cake tin with a round parchment paper
 - Place the coated apple slices all around
 - Pour the syrup on top of the apple slices
 - Add the crushed walnuts on top
 - Add the cake batter on top & spread evenly
 - Place in the oven for 40 minutes
 - Knife around the edges 
 - Place a cooling rack on top & flip
 
Serve with a scoop of ice cream!
