Bourek / Meat Egg Rolls

20-25 Spring roll / Egg roll wraps

Meat mixture
1/2 kilo Extra Lean Mince Meat
1/2 Onion diced
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
2 tablespoons Dried Parsley
2 tablespoons of Light Olive Oil

Vegetable oil for frying

  • Place the olive oil in a frypan on high heat
  • Add the onions and saute
  • Add the meat and cook until brown
  • Add the dried parsley, salt and pepper
  • Set aside and cool
  • Place the spring roll wrap flat (like a diamond)
  • Add 2 spoonfulls of the meat mixture near the top corner
  • Add abit of water to the top corner
  • Fold to the middle
  • Roll forward
  • Fold the sides
  • Roll forward
  • Then water the bottom corner before closing
  • In a frypan heat vegetable oil until hot
  • Add the bourek one at a time and brown on each side
  • Place on a paper towel to remove excess oil
