• Add the flour, baking powder & salt in a sift together in a bowl
  • Add the butter and sugar in a mixer and mix until creamy
  • ​Scrape the sides
  • Add the egg
  • Add the vanilla essence & almond extract 
  • Add the flour gradually
  • ​Mix until a cookie dough texture
  • ​Cut 2 pieces of parchment paper
  • Divide the cookie dough in two
  • Place one half on the bottom parchment paper
  • Place the 2nd piece of parchment paper on top
  • ​Roll the dough until flat & smooth - 5mm thickness
  • ​Refrigerate for 20-30 mins
  • Place the cookie cutter in some flour
  • ​​Start from the middle of the dough
  • Carefully remove excess dough with a spatula
  • ​Place the cookie on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
  • Preheat oven 350F/180C and bake for 15-20 mins
  • ​Set aside to cool completely
  • ​Use icing to decorate the cookies

3 cups All Purpose Flour
1 cup Sugar
1 cup or 2 sticks Butter (room temp)
1 Egg (room temp)
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
