• Preheat oven 350F or 180C
  • ​Cut the Filo finely
  • Add the Kanafa colouring to the 1 1/2 cups of melted butter and mix
  • Add the kanafa coloured butter into the shredded filo in a large bowl and mix all together
  • Brush muffin tins with melted butter
  • ​Cut the kiri cheese cubes in half
  • ​Added some shredded filo at the bottom of each muffin mould
  • Press down with a glass to flatten
  • Then add 1/2 a cube of the kiri cheese in each mould
  • Top off with the rest of the shredded filo
  • Brush with melted butter on each kanafa
  • Place on the bottom shelf of the oven for 15 minutes
  • Then top shelf for another 15 minutes
  • Pour cold sugar syrup on top of each kanafa when hot
  • Sprinkle some crushed pistachios on top
