  • ​Add the yeast & sugar to the lukewarm water, stir & set aside for 5 minutes
  • ​Add the salt to the flour
  • ​Add the flour to the mixer with a dough hook
  • ​Add the yeast mixture
  • ​Add the olive oil
  • ​Add extra water if needed
  • ​The dough should not stick to the bowl
  • ​Place the dough in a glass bowl with oil, cover with plastic wrap & cover with a tea towel for 2 hours
  • ​Cut the tomatoes & onions in chunks & place in a blender to puree
  • ​Add the tomato & onion puree, tomatoes paste & spices in the meat and mix.
  • ​Preheat the oven to 400F or 200C
  • ​Flour the work surface, take a call ball of dough & roll out
  • ​Use a saucepan lid to make a circle shape
  • Spread the meat mixture on the dough circles
  • ​Place in the oven for 25 minutes

Dough

3 1/2 cups Flour

1 cup Lukewarm Water

1/4 cup Light Olive Oil

1 tablespoon Yeast

1 teaspoon Sugar

1 teaspoon Salt


Meat Mixture

1/2 kilo Lean Mince Beef

2 small Tomatoes

1 small Onion

2 tablespoons Tomato Paste

1 teaspoon Salt

1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

1/2 teaspoon Paprika

1/2 teaspoon Chilli Powder
