• ​Add the yeast & sugar to the lukewarm water, stir & set aside for 5 minutes
  • ​Add some oil into a bowl
  • ​Add the flour to the mixer with a dough hook
  • ​Add the salt & baking powder
  • Mix together
  • ​Add the olive oil
  • Add the yeast mixture
  • Knead for 8 minutes
  • ​Add extra lukewarm water if needed
  • ​The dough should not stick to the bowl
  • ​Place the dough in a glass bowl, cover with plastic wrap & cover with a tea towel for 1 hour
  • Flour the work surface, roll out the dough into a log shape
  • Cut in half then repeat the process, there will be at least 8 pieces
  • Shape into balls & place them on baking dish lined with parchment paper
  • Cover with plastic wrap & cover with a tea towel for 1/2 an hour
  • ​Preheat the oven to 400F or 200C
  • ​Whisk the egg for the egg wash
  • ​Uncover the rolls of dough, using your fingers, flatten the rolls
  • ​Make indents with your fingers
  • Brush the egg wash on the edges
  • Place 2 spoonfuls of the cheese in the centre, press with the back of the spoon
  • ​Place in the oven on the top shelf for 20-25 minutes
