Ingredients 

Za'atar Pizza

Directions

Dough
3 1/2 cups Flour
1 cup Lukewarm Water
1/4 cup Light Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Yeast
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt


1 1/2 cups Zaatar (spice found at any middle eastern store)

1/2-1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Add the yeast & sugar to the lukewarm water, stir & set aside for 5 minutes
  • Add the salt to the flour
  • Add the flour to the mixer with a dough hook
  • Add the yeast mixture
  • ​Add the olive oil
  • Add extra water if needed
  • The dough should not stick to the bowl
  • ​Place the dough in a glass bowl with oil, cover with plastic wrap & cover with a tea towel for 2 hours
  • Add the extra virgin olive oil to the zaatar & mix together
  • ​​Preheat the oven to 400F or 200C
  • Flour the work surface, take a small ball of dough & roll out
  • Use a saucepan lid to make a circle shape
  • Spread the zaatar mixture on the dough circles
  • Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes
